Michael and Anne met in Gallup, New Mexico as first-year teachers through Teach For America. Teach For America is a non-profit organization that aims to provide students in under-served communities the opportunity to attain an excellent education. Each year, Teach For America teachers work toward closing the achievement gap that exists in the United States. We have Teach For America to thank for our incredible teaching experiences in Gallup and Zuni, the students who touched our lives, and the opportunity to work toward ending educational inequality. We also have Teach for America to thank for many of our friends and for the love that we share for one another.
